Blogtember Challenge Day 15: Adventures

Today has already been a crazy day and it’s still morning time! Today’s challenge is about adventure – what is the craziest adventure you’ve ever been on? I would really say and others might agree that everyday's an adventure for me. I’m always running around like a chicken with my head cut off for many reasons: I get off at 3:15ish, my dad owns his own business, I love helping others, I’m in Junior Women’s Club, etc… I always seem to have an overwhelmed schedule without meaning too haha!

I would have to say my biggest adventure has been taking our trip to Cabo. I had never taken a trip without my parents and most importantly a boy! Ryan had been having some problems at work, so he decided that he would try to find a new job. It took him a couple of months (which mind you those months weren’t the easiest), but he got an interview. When I received the phone call from Ryan about he said the interview went well. A couple weeks went by and he still hadn’t received a phone call about the position. Finally the day had come they offered him the job and he took it! He decided that we should take a trip (just the two of us) before he started his new job and to celebrate.

I was a bit nervous about taking a trip to Cabo! Number one we were going to Mexico and number two this would be the first trip (not including work trips) that I had taken without my parents. Yes I know some of you are thinking… you are old enough why do you need your parents. It’s not that I need my parents it’s just going to Mexico is sort of scary. I put on my big girl panties and we packed up and went!

I can’t explain how much fun we had while we were there. It was the most relaxing trip I had ever taken. We didn’t have any agenda which was nice. We woke up every morning, sat by the ocean with coffee, got breakfast, worked out, and then the adventure started! We had the best time ever! I truly can say that this was something that our relationship needed for that next step of growth. I can’t wait to take another adventure with Ryan!

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST ADVENTURE??

Blogtember Challenge Day 14: In the Mood for Fall

Today’s challenge is to make a mood board! Maybe you are re-doing a room, looking for a new wardrobe, or planning for the holidays.

If you learned anything about me from being a follower you know I love fall! I love all the seasons but fall stands out to me in so many different ways. There are so many traditions that start, it’s a more warm and loving time of year (meaning snuggling on the couch with a big blanket by a fire), more family time, and many more things.

Creating a mood board for today’s challenge has been so much fun! I love Pinterest for everything it offers. Enjoy!

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters…”
-Colossians 3:23-

WHAT WOULD YOUR MOOD BOARD LOOK LIKE??

Blogtember Challenge Day 13: Switching Lives

Goodness… What a tough question! When I saw this challenge I kept changing my mind on who I would want to switch lives with. I’ve thought long and hard about this challenge, and I’ve made my decision. Without further ado, the person that I would choose to switch lives would be…

Lauren Conrad a television personality, New York Times bestselling author, fashion designer, and over 10 million social media followers.

Not only is she a beautiful person inside and out, but she has amazing fashion, voluptuous hair, passion to be fit and healthy, and she is an inspiration icon to many young adult women. She gets to write about whatever she wants, design clothing that inspires her - her Paper Crown line (which she got to use some of her own ideas from her wedding) and LC Lauren Conrad line at Kohls, running her blog interns and workers, and being an amazing wife! So truly I think a day being Lauren Conrad would be pretty amazing!

Over many the past years I loved getting to know Lauren not only as a cast member of The Hills but as a mid-20’s adult. She has inspired me to start this blog and many more other things in my life. If you haven’t read her blog you should. It tells you about anything and everything you need to know from advice about how to deal with negativity in your life to what to wear in the next season.

WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO SWITCH LIVES WITH?

Blogtember Challenge Day 12 - Books, Books, and More Books

At first I really didn’t know if I would enjoy the book. When I opened the first page to start reading I was shocked to see that the entire book was written in play form. I decided to give it a chance which I ended up enjoying it a lot. I think they needed to add more details about the different events that happened – maybe there will be another book!

This one hasn’t taken me long to get into. I’m loving the relationship between Josie and Meredith Garland… they both are very different characters. Can’t wait to finish!

This one is self-explanatory :)

This is about sisters that are in their twenty years (which I’m currently in) going through high school, college, first jobs, and first loves. They have thoughts and concerns about their twenties and then reality hits and they are thirty. Can’t wait to read this.

I've also been wanting to join Book of the Month. I might be doing this very soon!

Blogtember Challenge Day 10 & 11- A Day in My Life & Favorite Instagrammers

Sorry for the late post (again – haha) I had a sweet friends bachorlette party (which you should check out her blog) this weekend! I have been wanting to do a post like this for a while now, but I’ve had so many other wonderful things to tell my readers about. This is what we did on Saturday during the bachorlette party…

We started the morning off by eating at this Mexican place in Dallas called Dos Jefes. They provided on the house mimosa but I had to have a cup of coffee. I was tired from the night before. For brunch I ordered the build your own omelette! It was delicious :) the service was amazing as well. They even paid for the bachorlette’s breakfast (how sweet is that!)

We came back to the W Dallas - Victory hotel where we were staying and got ready for the pool. How cute is this flamingo float! We put on our flower crowns, grabbed our flamingo drink floats, and headed to the pool. After a beautiful day at the pool it was time for dinner – we were all starving!
We ate at a place called Kenichi which is sushi. They also had some different Asian foods to choose from if sushi isn’t your thing.

After dinner we went to a couple different bars and danced the night away! We had so much fun celebrating our beautiful friend’s bachorlette party. Can’t wait until October!

I’m really excited to share a couple of my favorite Instagram accounts that inspire me! I wish I could tell you about all of them, but we all know you don’t want to sit here reading for hours upon hours. Blogtember Challenge Day Six & Seven: Home Tour & Lets Go on a Trip

I’m sorry I missed posting yesterday, but my house is currently not picture worthy. Many of my friends would disagree! I still have two bedrooms that I’m currently re-doing and I’m still figuring out all of my decorating options for each room. I promise when everything is completed I will do a post about my sweet home! I’ll show you some ideas I have from my Pinterest boards!

The prompt for day is: if you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? Why? This is hard to pick just a couple because I want to go everywhere! When thinking about this question, I immediately think about the beach and hearing the rolling of waves hitting the rocks. The magical sent you smell when you walk down to the ocean, but I want to venture away from those thoughts.

Charleston, South Carolina: to see The Battery (stretch along the city’s southern tip - it’s a row of mansions overlooking Charleston’s Harbor), Magnolia Plantation & Gardens (flower paths and little animals all around), obviously the pineapple fountain, history, more landscape, and always trying different foods.

Anywhere overseas: maybe… London to see the different markets, art, fashion, food, and good British ale. Paris to try the chocolate in a sidewalk cafĂ©, relaxing after looking at all the art along the Seine, and we can’t forget the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. Rome to see the real live collage of piazzas, markets, and all the astonishing historical sites. I’ve always wanted to toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain!

New York City: this might sound a little weird, because everyone has been here! I’ve been once before, but it was in high school and it was a school trip :/. I would love the go see the Empire State Building (a friend told me about a night cruise you take while drinking champagne -  I would love to do this), the Statue of Liberty, Central Park (I would love to run in this area), all the different museums. Now we can’t forget the shopping!  I also would love to see a show.
